As I shared earlier this week I had the pleasure this year of working with the photographers from Kel and Mel. In addition to the extraordinary video they created for me they also took some beautiful photos.
I am so excited to be able to use these beautiful photos throughout my website, Facebook, Etsy Shop and Instagram. They tell the story of my business beautifully, and even Piper (our golden retriever) makes an appearance.
I have been keeping some extraordinary things under wraps for a couple of months now, because a small voice told me to wait until the perfect time to share. I recently felt a nudge to pursue this business full-time, and I could not be more excited about the adventure ahead! Today, I am beyond thrilled to share a video with you that shares more of the heart behind my brand.
First, a little back story, earlier this year I received an email out of the blue from a local photography business hoping to support the community and raise awareness about creatives/local businesses in Nebraska. Little did I know that the sweetest couple was on the other end of that email, and that they would totally floor me with their photography and videography abilities.
That couple was Kelly and Melonie Langan of Kel and Mel. They are passionate about people, marriages and the stories they are telling. It is beautiful to me how they can document everyday things and small details and present them in extraordinary ways. Check out their website, and view more of their films here.

I absolutely love branding projects. Clients hand me a piece of their heart and trust me to mold it into something to represent their passions and dreams - Yikes! That may seem terrifying to some - and yes it can become overwhelming at times - but the whole process is 100% worth it, and like I said before I absolutely love it!
So, today I am very excited to share another recent branding project with you! I have had the pleasure of working with Jordan on branding for her blog Cinnamon Girl. Jordan is a lifestyle blogger here in Lincoln, NE - and let me tell you Lincoln - we are lucky to have her! She is passionate about music, fashion, the Lincoln community and finding joy in the ordinary.
Jordan's style is a mix of bohemian and free-spirit which we wanted to capture, but also give her something clean and classic. The designs took a couple different directions before we really honed in on the final design. Below are some images that served as inspiration along the way.
The final branding marries bohemian with classic beautifully. Crisp, thin black and white lines with a hint of geometric pull the whole look together.

When I started this branding project earlier this year I was immediately excited to share it with you all. Now that day is finally here!
Dan and Nancy Lyon approached me about branding for their new venture: BraveHearts - Equine Assisted Psychotherapy & Learning. BraveHearts offers team-building exercises, therapy, trust building and team-work activities. This is all done through work with horses.
I love working on branding projects because I get to learn so much about people, what drives them and their passion for their business. This project was no different, and I learned a lot about equine assisted therapy. Dan and Nancy have such a heart and commitment to what they do. They also have a deep desire to see people who are hurting be healed through therapy and trust building exercises with the horses.
Their brand is all about trust, courage and hope. We created the elements of the logo to be connected, because this therapy is welcoming and trust building. The BraveHearts branding is also clean but with a touch of rustic/western feel. Check out the final branding below!
BraveHearts is located in Kearney, Nebraska and is passionate about serving the Kearney community with this therapy and learning. I am so excited to watch them grow, and for this brand to serve them well!
